Music Therapist

Jackie Macri is a singer-songwriter and occasional film composer from the greater Philadelphia area, where she enjoys the daily run-off sound from its growing music venues. While she got her start singing and doing pratfalls in musical theater, her influences and interests range all over the genre map, from folk to funk.  A Masters-level music therapist by day, Jackie loves to explore the uses of music for health and well-being, and was featured on the Harry Connick, Jr. talk show promoting her work in the intersection of pediatric music therapy. As part of her music therapy work, she has found some of the best songwriting partners in the unlikeliest places.

While she loves all kinds of writing, her secret dream is to pen a Chuck Lorre-level cartoon theme song. Please reserve judgement; golden age.
